“You Hurt Me First” Out Now!!!!

So it’s been a while since I updated my blog. My album has been out since October 6th. I’ve been through a mental health crisis in September, before my album release party and in October after my album release party. With the lack of true recovery from my September hospitalization due to having to push my event to after not being able to rest, I’ve put a lot on the back burner.

But my album release party was a success. The venue was packed out so much people were in the hall of Unruly Collective as well as the backyard. There were a lot of people there to see me that I’ve never met before as well, which is a very new experience.

Once my album dropped, I got a lot of positive feedback. People were dming me telling me how much they loved it and comparing me to some of my favorite artists. It was such a rush of positive energy.

I think this is why my insomnia hit me again. As someone with bipolar 1 disorder, sleep is imperative for my mental health. I cannot function properly without it. So I went back in for 6 days and have finally been sleeping good.

I am so happy to be here and to share with you all my progress. As you know my goal is to become a fully financially sustainable independent artist. I believe I will get there sooner than I anticipated. I’m in the process of booking more events, finding acts that could make a great bill. I have experience in event planning do to my work with my families foundation and I believe that experience set the groundwork for this event going so well. I am excited to start busking around NYC to promote my album.

I want to close by saying it’s never too late to do what you want. People put these imaginary borders on creative people’s dreams. As long you have passion, there’s going to be someone who is interested. Thank you for all your support.
